At our AGM on June 5th, we were thrilled to present the SVP Distinguished Partner Award to Dan Bowditch.

At SVP we FIND, FUND, and STRENGTHEN organizations through our venture philanthropy model, forming close, trusting relationships with them. We we want to help organizations go even further; to level up and do even more. We want to change the game for the non-profits we work with, the kids they support, and the non-profit sector as a whole. 

Introducing an exciting new granting approach for SVP Vancouver that will help us triple our venture philanthropy support, starting today.

Positive change through the power of philanthropy is what SVP is all about. So we were very excited to partner with TD Wealth Private Giving Foundation to co-host the Women in Philanthropy event on April 18th.

On March 13th, SVP Partners, Investees, and Alumni gathered for SVP’s first Social Dialogue Series event of the year. We were joined by Dr. Paul Kershaw of Generation Squeeze to delve into the topic of systems change.

BabyGoRound (BGR) brings critical support to under-resourced families by providing resources and essential baby gear, helping families to safely care for their babies and toddlers, and ensuring that families are equipped and empowered to thrive.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to a new Investee:  A:lmélháwtxw Early Education Centre – Stó:lō Service Agency! They joined the SVP community in late 2023. They are the recipients of a microgrant from SVP.

We’re thrilled to introduce you to a new Investee: Richmond Family Place! Richmond Family Place’s interactive programs for families focus on mutual aid and peer support to equip families with the tools and resources they need to thrive.

We’re back with a special SVP Vancouver version of the holiday classic! Three years in a row makes it a tradition!

We do this to celebrate the season, and also to acknowledge all the incredible work we’ve achieved in 2023 to help vulnerable children and youth in B.C. thrive, thanks to your support.

Since 2001 SVP has invested in high-impact nonprofit organizations that are working to improve the lives of B.C.’s children and youth. Our ultimate goal: Be an exceptional and catalytic funder that enables high-impact nonprofits to flourish and grow. All in the service of helping more kids and youth in B.C. thrive. As we look to the future, we want to also share successes of our past, starting with Take a Hike.
