Sarah Lockman
Senior Manager, Programs

Sarah joined SVP in 2026 and is currently Senior Manager, Programs. In this role, she works closely with Investees, Alumni, and community partners in leading the delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of SVP’s capacity building programming by fostering meaningful relationships and equitable collaboration.
Sarah (she/her) has spent most of her career in educational leadership and curriculum development in formal and informal settings, including K-12 and post-secondary classrooms, and non-profit organizations. She has been honoured to work with a variety of collaborators, including the UBC Faculty of Education, Networks of Inquiry & Indigenous Education, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, and the Loon Foundation, to co-create programs and systems committed to building learning experiences and environments that foster equity and curiosity, with a particular passion for transformative experiential learning. She holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Master of Arts in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto.
Sarah loves nature and the outdoors, especially exploring the lakes, rivers, and ocean coastlines of beautiful British Columbia where she now resides as an uninvited guest on the unceded, ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
