Gagneet Kaur
Grantmaking and Operations Manager (Interim)

Gagneet joined SVP as Grantmaking and Operations Manager (leave replacement) in July 2026. In this role, she supports SVP’s grantmaking processes and organizational operations, working closely with Investees, SVP Partners, and community organizations to ensure grantmaking is thoughtful, equitable, and responsive to community needs.
Gagneet (she/her) has spent her career in post-secondary research, grants management and community development across post secondary institutions and the nonprofit sector. She has been fortunate to work with a range of Universities and non-profit organizations, across Ontario and Alberta where she supported over grant applications as Research Grants Officer,and helped steward research funding through. She has also worked closely within the Windsor Essex community, supporting organizations such as the South Asian Centre of Windsor Essex, the Canadian Federation of Students and Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor. She holds a Master of Arts in Criminology from the University of Windsor. Rooted in her Sikh values of seva (selfless service), her approach and processes center people, grounded in a commitment to equitable access to funding and strengthening the organizations that serve their communities.
Outside of work, Gagneet enjoys spending time outdoors and playing sports, and speaks English, Punjabi and Hindi. Originally from Windsor, Ontario, she is excited to now call British Columbia home as an uninvited guest on the unceded, ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
