Support Our Investees and Alumni this Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a celebration of generosity and an opportunity to uplift the incredible organizations helping children and youth across B.C. thrive.

This year, many of our Investees and Alumni are launching powerful Giving Tuesday and year-end campaigns to raise funds and awareness for their important work. From expanding early childhood programs to empowering youth to reach their full potential, every gift fuels lasting impact in our communities.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Donate to one of their campaigns
  • Share their stories with your network
  • Spread the word to inspire others to give

Together, we can amplify their impact and keep vital programs strong for the children and families who need them most.

Mom2Mom

This Giving Tuesday, you can make a difference for single moms and their children by supporting Mom2Mom’s monthly grocery gift card program. Your support helps keep food on the table for struggling families most impacted by rising food prices. And, thanks to a generous donor, all donations made before December 12 will be matched up to $50,000! Give the gift of groceries online today at https://www.m2mcharity.ca/.

Fresh Roots

This Giving Tuesday, Fresh Roots is inviting you to step into the Giving Garden: a space where every gift you plant helps youth, food, and community flourish. At Fresh Roots, they grow more than vegetables. On their schoolyard farms, young people dig into the soil, harvest fresh produce, and grow confidence, leadership, and belonging. With your help, they can continue nurturing this growth — one seed, one youth, one meal at a time. Your gift helps us:

  • Turn schoolyards into farms that share thousands of pounds of fresh, local food with families and food security organizations in our communities
  • Welcome more than 3,000 kids and youth each year on our farms
  • Support youth growing skills and confidence that last a lifetime

No matter the size, your gift plants a seed for growth, learning, and connection. Plant your gift today.

Our Community Bikes / PEDAL

Every year, PEDAL / Our Community Bikes kicks off their annual Keep ’em Rolling winter fundraiser campaign with an open house at the shop. This event provides an opportunity to spend time together and unite over our shared vision of a community without oppression — where equal access to mobility supports self-determination for everyone.

This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 2nd, so come on out from 6:30–9:30pm and join PEDAL / Our Community Bikes for good times and community building. Help them raise $75,000 by January 16th to provide bikes and repair support to those who need it most.

Make a gift before December 9 and double your impact!

Blind Beginnings

Limitless potential begins early. Today, your gift goes twice as far.

From birth to age five, children who are blind or have low vision begin building the essential skills for life — how to move, communicate, and explore their world. Blind Beginnings’ Early Intervention Program walks alongside families during these critical early years, offering one-on-one home visits, kindergarten preparation, and foundational sensory skill-building tools to help every child thrive.

This Giving Tuesday, your donation will be doubled, thanks to a generous corporate matching gift — meaning your impact goes twice as far. By supporting Early Intervention today, you’re not just funding a program: you’re becoming part of a mission to help children across B.C. take their first steps toward a future of limitless potential. Donate today and double your impact.

BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH)

This Giving Tuesday, your generosity to the BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH) Bursary Fund will open doors to a safe and stable future for women fleeing violence. Your support provides survivors of domestic violence with practical, flexible cash grants to return to school or start a small business.

BCSTH’s shoot-for-the-moon goal is to support 60 women in 2026. And thanks to a generous donor, your gift will be matched up to $15,000 — supporting twice as many women to secure safe, meaningful, productive lives for their families.

Join us to fund safety and financial independence for 60 women this year.

Fire & Flower

Join the Fire and Flower movement — Spark the Journey — to empower girls and gender-diverse youth through free, transformative nature-based programs, meaningful education, and trusted mentorship. Together, they offer group connections, foster new friendships, support hands-on learning, and help youth build resilience, self-advocacy, and a stronger sense of belonging.

The impact of a gift to Fire & Flower is best captured by one of our participants, Malaya: “Fire and Flower made me feel more confident in myself and that I can do anything I want, and anything I set my mind to.” On behalf of Malaya and all of their youth, thank you for believing in Fire & Flower.  https://fireandflowergirls.org/donate/

Right now, every dollar you give will be matched, doubling your impact and helping twice as many children and families.

Backpack Buddies

One in four children in B.C. doesn’t have enough to eat at home. This Giving Tuesday, you can put hope on the table for hungry kids with a gift to Backpack Buddies. And, thanks to the Krogseth Foundation, Giving Tuesday gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000!
