Zero Ceiling Society of Canada
Zero Ceiling Society of Canada provides at-risk and homeless youth from Vancouver and the Sea to Sky Corridor an opportunity to experience mountain life through adventure based learning programs. Their programs cater to youth between the ages of 13 – 24 and focus on fun, adventure, learning and healthy lifestyle.
Over the past 17 years, 4,000 youth have been positively impacted by Zero Ceiling and its programs. They empower youth to recognize and reach a greater potential by teaching them skills and providing inspirational opportunities and experiences. Zero Ceiling’s life-changing Work 2 Live program provides housing, employment, and life skills support for six months.
With SVP’s funding, Zero Ceiling plans to triple the number of Work 2 Live participants in three years, as well as broaden their fundraising efforts, refresh their brand and storytelling image, and formalize their core programs.
SVP grant commitment: A one-year grant of $60,000 which includes generous co-funding from the BPS Wealth Management Group at CIBC Wood Gundy (represented by SVP Partners Geoff Bertram, Tom Porteous and Eric Southam) in the amount of $18,000.
