CityHive (CH) seeks to transform the way young people shape their cities and the civic processes that engage them. SVP Vancouver welcomed CityHive as an Investee in December 2022. Rowan Gentleman-Sylvester, incoming CityHive Executive Director says:

“Helen, Selma, and the whole SVP team were hugely helpful in navigating the Investee onboarding process. . It’s worth noting that they were also incredibly attentive and welcoming from initial contact through the application process and now as Investees. Fund development and funder relationships can be so fraught and challenging to navigate so having open and clear communication, as well as values-aligned people at the helm made it a less daunting and more transparent a process.

While SVP’s financial support is more operational in nature (which we are immensely grateful for since it’s a clear gap in the funder landscape), it has enabled us to retain and continue to grow our new school program, which is making all our educational programming accessible to more marginalized youth.”
