The Antiracist Kitchen: What if Talking about Racism was Easy?

A free/by donation virtual event hosted by Growing Chefs and ONE TO ONE Literacy.
What if talking about racism was as easy as baking a cake, cooking rice, or frying plantain? Join Growing Chefs, ONE TO ONE Literacy, and author/editor Nadia L Hohn for a fun, engaging, and tasty virtual presentation.
This workshop will introduce audiences to authors and stories featured in the book The Antiracist Kitchen—their experiences, new vocabulary, and tools to fight racism. The goal is to create a safe environment for courageous conversations and mutual understanding while helping attendees to feel empowered with tools to fight racism. Plus, don’t leave hungry! Following Nadia’s presentation, Growing Chefs will help attendees prepare a dish featured in the book.
We will end with some door prizes!
All attendees will receive an ingredient list and recipe from the book, and a Zoom link to attend the presentation.
